releases:release_4_1_1

Windows 64-bit binaries.

This release is available through the auto-update facility in the Ctrl [A] About Box _if you have v2.2.2 or later and the libeay32.dll and ssleay32.dll files in your MMP folder_.
These release notes can be read from the What's New? button in the About Box after the auto-update has completed.

Use Shift-[\] to open the MMP config dialog.

Release Notes v4.1.1

NEW

  • The Ctrl-[K] command to delete all but the [K]eep files in the current folder now displays the new enhanced Confirm Delete dialog:

_N.B. the Ctrl-[K] functionality must be enabled by the keepDelete=yes setting in the MinimalistMediaPlayer.conf file._

  • By dragging the top edge, you can now vertically resize the Segments & Streams panel that is shown with the Ctrl-[E] Timeline Editor:

  • The Segments & Streams panel will be limited to the height of the main media window. Resizing the main media window with [G] (Greater) or Ctrl-[G] (opposite of Greater) will also adjust the height of the Segments & Streams panel to keep it in line with the height of the main media window.
  • This is useful when there are many streams (e.g. a long list of subtitle tracks) or the Timeline is divided up into many segments. It's also useful just to be able to view the entire contents of the Help tab listing all the Timeline Editor controls. _Use the mouse wheel to scroll up and down all three lists._
  • Clicking a segment in the Segments & Streams panel will select and give focus to that segment in the Timeline. You can then immediately use any of the keyboard controls without having to first click the segment in the Timeline - it will already be selected: [S]horten, [L]engthen, [C]ut, [I]n point, [O]ut point, e[X]clude, [R]estore, [M]erge to the right, [N]erge to the left.
  • This is particularly useful for very short segments which can be tricky to select in the Timeline. Now, simply select them in the Segments list.
  • Clicking anywhere on a segment on the Timeline will select that segment. Previously, you could only click on empty space that didn't contain text. You can also click on the trash can of an e[X]cluded segment to select it.

FIXED

  • Any action in the Segments & Streams panel will immediately return focus to the Timeline. This fixes an intermittent issue where some keyboard commands meant for the main media window were occasionally also being actioned in the Segments & Streams panel; this resulted in either the tabs being changed repeatedly, or (in the case of the [Spacebar] pause/play command) the “Export” button being actioned prematurely. (The work-around was to simply click on a segment in the Timeline to take the focus away from the Segments & Streams panel). Hopefully, this minor but annoying issue is now fixed once and for all.

Any issues, please let me know Issues

Wiki site
The fully-detailed wiki at minimalistmediaplayer.com continues to grow. The Wiki greatly expands on the brevity of the Ctrl [H] help panels by providing comprehensive info to help you get the most out of using all of MMP's many controls and configurable options.

If there is a particular aspect of MMP that you would like more information about, let me know and I will add a topic to the Wiki or enhance an existing topic.

Asset files
The “…full.zip” release file below contains everything you need to run MMP: Minimalist Media Player:

- MinimalistMediaPlayer.exe
- MediaInfo.dll
- libmpv-2.dll
- ffmpeg.exe
- libeay32.dll
- ssleay32.dll

N.B. Only MinimalistMediaPlayer.exe will be updated automatically. If the zip file contains newer versions of the other files, you should update and test these for yourself to ensure they will run on your Windows system. MMP will not make that assumption and overwrite your working versions. You are advised to make a copy of the older versions in case you need to revert to them.
