Windows 64-bit binaries.
This release is available through the auto-update facility in the Ctrl [A] About Box _if you have v2.2.2 or later and the libeay32.dll and ssleay32.dll files in your MMP folder_.
These release notes can be read from the What's New? button in the About Box after the auto-update has completed.

NEW
A new build of libmpv-2.dll is included in the zip file. In the previous version of the library there is a minor issue when toggling subtitles on/off (Ctrl-[S]) where the MPV library reports them as off when they're on, and on when they're off, even though the subtitles were actually displaying as required. Consequently, in MMP when you turned subtitles off, MMP reported subtitles on, and when you turned them on, MMP reported subtitles off in the bottom right corner of the main media window. The new build (2025/04/05) fixes this.
Minor Change
When exporting segments of an edited audio or video file (Ctrl-[E]), for neatness and clarity in your File Explorer software, the segments are labeled “.seg01.”, “.seg02.”, etc.
FIXED
- A minor issue introduced in v4.1.1: the nextFolderOnEmpty=no setting in MinimalistMediaPlayer.conf wasn't correctly adhered to following a Ctrl-[K] (Keep/Delete) or a Ctrl-[Del] (delete folder contents) or when deleting the last media file in a folder. In each case, MMP should exit but wasn't.
- the minor issue with the subtitles (see above).
Known Issues
The What's New? facility in the Ctrl-[A] About Box no longer shows any images included in these release notes. This seems to be because GitHub now hosts these images on amazonaws and the GitHub URL returns a 404 in MMP but works correctly in my internet browser. I currently don't have a solution other than possibly rewriting the auto-update process using an entirely different set of Delphi components instead of the Indy (Internet Direct) ones. If you have a solution or can even point me in the direction of the problem, please feel free to share!
Quick Install
The quickest way to get up and running with MMP is to
mmp-install.bat file which will register all the file extensions that MMP supports*.MinimalistMediaPlayer.conf_ file by removing the _ so that MMP uses it.
* mmp-uninstall.bat unregisters them.
Any issues, please let me know Issues

Asset files
The “…full.zip” release file below contains everything you need to run MMP: Minimalist Media Player:
- MinimalistMediaPlayer.exe
- MediaInfo.dll
- libmpv-2.dll
- ffmpeg.exe
- libeay32.dll
- ssleay32.dll
N.B. Only MinimalistMediaPlayer.exe will be updated automatically. If the zip file contains newer versions of the other files, you should update and test these for yourself to ensure they will run on your Windows system. MMP will not make that assumption and overwrite your working versions. You are advised to make a copy of the older versions in case you need to revert to them.
