Windows 64-bit binaries.
This release is available through the auto-update facility in the Ctrl [A] About Box if you have v2.2.2 or later and the libeay32.dll
and ssleay32.dll files in your MMP folder.
These release notes can be read from the What's New? button in the About Box after the auto-update has completed.
Use Shift-[\] to open the MMP config dialog.
Fixed
Github made a change to the asset URL for images contained in release notes such as these.
As a result, in the What's New facility from MMP's About Box ([Ctrl-A]) in v4.0.5, images weren't being downloaded and displayed correctly.
This has now been fixed.
New
Added support for .jxl and .vtx image formats.
New
Function keys F1, F2, F3, F4
In the main MMP window you can rename the media file by defining up to three filename prefixes and one suffix in the MinimalistMediaPlayer.conf file using the following settings:
catF1=
catF2=
catF3=
catF4=
For example:
catF1=[Movie]
catF2=[Clip]
catF3=[]
catF4= []
Leading and trailing spaces are significant, i.e. they will be included in the file name. So, in the case of catF4 above, pressing F4 will rename the file with a trailing space followed by square brackets.
In this example, and in fact in my own personal use, I use catF3 to add square brackets and a space to the beginning of the file name so that I can add the media file to a category not covered by my two most common categories, “movies” and “clips”. I use F3 and F4 followed by Rename to edit what's in the square brackets.
Of course, you are free to make use of these four renaming keys in any way you see fit.
As with all the settings, you can copy and paste the templates from the supplied MinimalistMediaPlayer.conf_ file.
N.B. In the Image & Thumbnail Browser all 12 function keys are used to move images into user-defined category folders.
See User Folders) for more details.
